[edit] Spoken article quality assessment

Version reviewed: 04:42, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Technical quality: High

Clarity: High

Accuracy: High

With the following minor exceptions:

  • Section "Themes/Cognitive dissonance": "Extracts from its sacred text, the Principia Discordia by Malaclypse the Younger" read as "Extracts from its sacred text, the Principia Discordia and Malaclypse the Younger".
  • Section "Themes/Allusions to other works": "Tsathoggua" should probably be pronounced something like sath-og-you-ah instead of sath-ah-loh-gah.
  • Section "Follow-ups/Influence": "They released much of their early material under the name "The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu" (JAMs), also from the trilogy, and much of their work was Discordian in nature. They mirrored the fictional JAMs' gleeful political tactics ...".
The first (in italics) "JAMs" was omitted from the recording. It's probably good practice to explicitly define an acronym by stating the words it represents, then stating the acronym, when it's used more than once in a narration. Then, when the acronym is spoken subsequently, the listener can more easily associate it with its meaning.

Help with recording issues can be obtained under "Recording assistance" here.
Information on the assessment procedure can be found on the spoken article assessment page.
