[edit] Summary

Screenshot of the writer's credit from the Doctor Who serial The Pirate Planet. Screenshot taken from the opening credits of episode one.

[edit] Fair use rationale

  1. This is the author's only on-screen credit in a broadcast programme for his direct script work on Doctor Who. Douglas Adams had the Script Editor credit during the show's 17th season, and his on-screen credit for writing Shada was only seen by the public after that story was released on video in the 1990s. Thus it makes historically important proof for the author's early work.
  2. It is a single still image, made in a technically inferior graphics format (JPEG). Thus any derivative images will also be technically inferior.
  3. The image is being used only in the biographical article about the episode's writer, for informational and educational purposes.
  4. It is believed that the use of this image will not infringe on the rights of BBC Worldwide or its video distributors, or have a negative effect on the video sales of this Doctor Who story.
