It is in many ways similar to Gauntlet in that up to four players play on the same sceen, cooperating using unique skills to defeat enemies.

[edit] Gameplay

Players act as human monster hunters combining melee, ranged and spell-driven attacks called "edges." It has single-player and multiplayer modes allowing up to four players.

[edit] Enemies

  • Shamblers - They are the most common enemy in the game. They never appear alone, but are weak and slow.
  • Police zombies - They are tougher than normal zombies and also use ranged weapons such as pistols, shotguns and flamethrowers.
  • Skitters - A creature with spider-like body with a human head. Their presence is announced by a skittering noise, hence the name. If a skitter gets too close, it explodes, taking anything in the area with it.
  • Zombie Dogs - They are as strong as normal zombies but a lot faster.
  • Vampires - Pale women dressed in leather. They are the strongest regular enemy in the game and usually show up in pairs. They can survive even the strongest of all attacks, are fast and use ranged weapons. However, they can be easily dispatched with a crossbow.
  • Souls - Translucent blue beings. They usually materialize offscreen and attack with ranged energy attacks.
  • Gargoyles - Large lion-shaped statues with wings. They are extremely strong and cannot be killed with ranged weapons.
  • Mutated zombies - A mutated form of the zombies. Attacks from a distance with acid or strikes with their massive, mutated arm.
  • Wolf spirits - They come later in the game. Servants of the werewolf Arcady.
  • Big mutant - You will fight these many times in the game. He can attack with a shockwave or with his brute strength. They are very deadly enemies, but vulnerable to fire.
  • Possessed teddy - Kaylie's teddy, he is possessed by an evil ghost. He can attack with his claws or vomit deadly acid.
  • Degenhardt - The leader of the vampires. He attacks with his strength and evil powers. Later in the game, he attacks another time in the form of a demonic creature.
  • Dr. Hadrian - He is supported by big mutants and attacks with his mutated arm and dark magic.
  • Carpenter - Carpenter is enraged to find out that Dr. Hadrian is dispatched by the Hunters, as he then never had the chance to kill him by himself. Now he will attempt to slay the Hunters with his fast attacks. The only way to stop his regeneration is to destroy the electric chair in his room.
  • Werewolf - Arcady transforms into a werewolf. He was sentenced to death by electricution for murder. However, it was the werewolf inside him who made him commit his crimes. He is very fast and incredibly strong.
  • Demon - Degenhardt in his demonic form. Attacks with evil powers and has two other demons as his servants.
