High Crimes and Misdemeanors: The Case Against Bill Clinton is a 1998 book by Ann Coulter, published by Regnery Publishing.

The book has sections on President Bill Clinton's alleged womanizing at government expense and his alleged lies (under oath) to cover this up. Coulter also covers some of the other controversies surrounding Bill Clinton's presidency, including Monica Lewinsky, Whitewater, Travelgate, Filegate, the China secrets scandal, and the death of Vincent Foster. In the last chapter, she reviews the history of the impeachment process and makes an emotional case for Clinton's impeachment.

The book spent eight weeks on The New York Times Best Seller list.[citation needed]

[edit] Allegations of Plagiarism

There have been accusations that Ann Coulter plagiarised parts of her book from the Human Events article, "A Case for Impeachment", by Michael Chapman. Chapman was in negotiations with Regnery to be the ghostwriter for the book. [1]

In 2001, Coulter answered one fan's question about the authorship of High Crimes and Misdemeanors: The Case Against Bill Clinton, claiming the failure to credit Chapman was an "editorial oversight." Neither Coulter nor Regnery have ever given official credit to Chapman for his literary and research contributions to that book. [2]
