[edit] Guide to: A New Grade

[edit] Main Plot

On the first day of eighth grade, Ned Bigby's new grade resolution is to be tougher. To his dismay, he accidentally beats up Loomer, the school bully the previous year, in effect becoming the new school bully, which causes Susie Crabgrass to break up with him. Later on, Ned and Loomer meet up to try and get things back to normal. Ned tells Loomer to beat him up, but Loomer was too scared to. Because of this, Moze just knocked down Ned, making it look like Loomer did it, and when the students come to see what happens, things are restored to normal.

[edit] Subplots

  • Moze tries to be nicer, but her new teacher, a teacher who teaches her students from her home via a wireless transmission from her home computer to a school computer, is strict and mean to her. Later on, the teacher tells Moze she was scared of how the students would be and that she heard that Moze was a bully, so the two are finally on good terms.
  • While trying to find out about the "new" Lisa Zemo, Cookie helps Gordy get the school's password for unrestricted internet access from Vice Principal Crubbs, for Gordy's new year resolution was to "waste more time watching movies" during school hours. They finally get it (FLAMINGO) by impersonating the superintendent.

[edit] Trivia/Goofs

  • iTeacher is played by Mo Collins.
  • The face on "Stan" the punching dummy is that of the director, "Savage" Steve Holland.
  • Fourth appearance of Mr. Lowe in a fourth different job (psychologist).
  • iTeacher is a parody of Apple Computer programs because she webcams on an iMac G4, or could be a parody of the action/horror movie iRobot((movie)).
  • Cookie asks Gordy if "he thinks the new Lisa Zemo is hot", since she comes to school with contacts, new clothes, no sniff medicine, and all the other boys are chasing after her. Gordy replies," I can't answer that, due to the fact that I'm...40."

[edit] Guide to: Dodgeball

[edit] Main Plot

In a parody of Star Wars, Ned and the gang tries to survive school dodgeball in gym. Moze will not play because she (apparently) gave Coconut Head a bloody nose and knocked out his two front teeth the last time she played it.

  • Note: As mentioned above, there were references to Star Wars in this episode. The main premise, Dark vs. Light, the phrase "Use the force, [name]!", and many other things were referenced. Cookies black outfit and the voice disguise is a reference to Darth Vader's life support suit. The way Loomer said give into anger and rule the dodgeball court is like Darth Sidious is saying to Anakin to give in to anger and rule the galaxy. Ned is like Obi-Wan taking on Loomer and Cookie in the game like when Obi-Wan took on Darth Vader alone and Moze is like Luke.Dirga is like Obi-Wan saying use the force Moze like use the force Luke. Also, Cookie uses some of Darth Vader's quotes such as, "I have you now."

[edit] Trivia

  • Coach Dirga's first name is revealed to be Joy.
  • It is shown that Cookie has a slight temper when his technology is broken or messed with, as he hit Crony right in the head with a dodgeball when his fancy camera-helmet broke.
  • Everytime someone gets hit with a dodgeball you can hear a couple of Hanna Barbera sound effects.
  • First Appearance of Coach Dirga in this season. She appears again in the guide to Fundraisers and Competition.
  • Coconut Head could have told Moze that she did not hurt him for he was right there when she told Ned why she couldn't play dodgeball.
  • Running gags:
    • Martin Qwerly, Coconut Head, and Stu doing a Latvian rain dance in reverse to prevent dodgeball, and a Latvian "Bring Back Moze" dance to convince Moze to play dodgeball. (In reality, there are no rain dances or Bring Back Moze dances in Latvia.)
    • Crubbs showing different facial expressions with his sunglasses.
    • Whenever there is peace in the school, Loomer and his bullies attack with dodgeballs.
