[edit] Main Plot

Principal Pal assigns a report on Abraham Lincoln and everybody quickly rushes to the library to get books about him. When Ned & Cookie try to check out books, the librarian, Ms. Holler (played by Judy Tenuta), tells them that they still have overdue library books, even though they have already turned them in. It turns out, Loomer takes returned library books and hides them, and the only way he gives them back to you is if you pay him. Cookie, Ned, Ms. Holler and a bunch of other kids whose books has been stolen by Loomer all try various ways to find out where Loomer hid their books. When Ned learns that a person's book tells people about him/her, he discovers one of Loomer's book and Loomer got the idea when he read a book about a bully who did the same thing. He finds out that Loomer hid the books in the Mystery section of the library. Loomer's punishment was to listen to Ms. Holler's horrible accordion playing.

[edit] Subplot(s)

Meanwhile, a little girl named Mary Bell Lewis has a book that Moze wants for her report. She tries to make her give it to her by becoming her friend because Mary Bell doesn't have any. However, Mary Bell Lewis (played by Molly Hyde) abuses the situation by making Moze do stuff to embarrass Moze. Moze finally explained to Mary Belle that friends don't treat friends horribly. Mary Belle gives Moze the book and they became real friends.

[edit] Guide to: Volunteering

[edit] Main Plot

Principal Wright says that the students have to complete 10 hours of volunteer work. Moze must redesign the school's back entrance, Cookie must work at the school store, and Ned must be a cafteria taste tester.

Ned

All of the milk Ned tries is spoiled and tells Principal Wright that he doesn't like being a taste tester, so Wright reassigns Ned to work at a retirement home. The old lady he has to help with is very mean and never went outside in months, so Ned decides to take her to Polk. She gets pummeled by a dodgeball, and many other things that would make her even angrier. When a retirement worker finds Ned and Wright is about to punish him, the old lady said she had a good time, and the worker lets her stay for another hour.

Moze

Moze gets partnered with Loomer, Crony, and Buzz. Moze is the only one working, and tries to convince them to work, until Buzz stands up and tells everyone about how volunteers are heroes. Then, the gang really help. Later, Moze, Loomer, Crony, and Buzz redesigned the back entrance perfectly.

Cookie

Cookie must work with Evelyn in the school store, but their rivalry makes them both open up individual stores. Cookie and Evelyn start a school competition, having discounts to make the students buy at their store, until everything is free costing the school a lot of money. Cookie and Evelyn are forced to work together in one store to pay the money back.
