Charles Bronson vowed that Death Wish 4 would be the final film in this series, but he went on to make Death Wish V: The Face of Death (1994), in which Paul Kersey is back in New York City, with a new fiancee and daughter, but eventually his fiancee is killed by her ex-husband's hitmen. In response, he retaliates against the "fashion mafia," which also has a grip on his dead fiancee's daughter. Death Wish V was Bronson's last theatrically released film, as well as his last Death Wish film. Kersey uses a Colt Cobra .38 Special revolver snubnose revolver throughout the film, as is depicted in the cover art.

Originally, the producers did consider to do a Death Wish VI. Whether making it the final chapter, but was rumored that they would have introduce a "New Vigilante" for the new franchise, that would have been Kersey's succussor, which would mean his stepdaughter, Chelsea from Death Wish V could have taken Kersey's place, years after Death Wish V.

[edit] Trivia

  • It should be noted that after all the people and family that Paul cared for, his stepdaughter Chelsea Regent is the only family member Paul has left.
