Cyborg 3: The Recycler is the second sequel to the 1990 film Cyborg. It was released straight-to-video in 1994 and directed by Michael Schroeder. It stars Khrystyne Haje as Casella "Cash" Reese.
[edit] Plot synopsis
Set in a desolate post apocalyptic world where a once thriving golden age of man and cyborgs has ended and cyborgs are now at the mercy of men who hunt for their parts.
Cash, a female cyborg and the star of the previous film learns from Doc Edford (Margaret Avery) that she has somehow become pregnant. She heads for obscure city of Cytown to find Evans (Zach Galligan), a creator of cyborgs to find out what is going on. She is followed by Anton Lewellyn (Richard Lynch) and his assistant Jocko (Andrew Bryniarski). Lewellyn makes a living by hunting down cyborgs and selling their parts. Though he has long wanted to find Cytown (the last haven for cyborgs) he now becomes obsessed in getting Cash as well as her child.
[edit] Notes
- Though referred as cyborgs, many of the characters appear to be completely made of synthetic materials, meaning that by defintion they are more close to androids.
- Bryniarski appeared in the movie Street Fighter that very same year. His character in that film (Zangief) has a drastically different hair-style, as well a beard.
- Lewellyn would probably be the closest character to a cyborg, given his cybernetic-eye enhancement.
