"Conclave" is the twelfth episode and finale of the television show Blade: The Series.

The episode opens with Marcus in the middle of a monologue, remarking how he is walking in the steps of history. He and Krista are touring the conclave site with Tucker, who tells him everything is ready as planned. Marcus reveals that they are ready to move on Blade and know where he is.
Blade and Shen are in the warehouse discussing Marcus. Blade wants to go to the conclave anyway, despite the jeopardy to Krista. Just then, Krista calls from Marcus' jet and tells them to get out, that Chase is coming for them. The lights go out, and then the UV system dies. Chase and her strike team invade, capturing Shen before Blade sets off the bombs in the warehouse. Chase leaves with Shen and tells him Blade is dead.
Chase takes Shen back to the Hotel where she begins toying with him. Marcus arrives with Krista. He sends Chase to Toronto to begin overseeing the operations for the conclave. Marcus then orders Krista to begin torturing Shen to get the information on other hunters and their networks. Krista tries to send Marcus away but he insists. She whispers sorry to Shen and begins by prying off his fingernails.
Back in the warehouse, Blade emerges from an underground bunker. He surveys the damage and collects the usuable weapons left over, including his sword. Marcus tells Krista he's impressed, and orders her to escalate her torture. She leans over Shen and breaks her own fingers, and he fakes being in pain to cover for her. Just then, Marcus' aide arrives and tells him the plane is ready - he orders Krista to stop and they leave. Krista slips Shen the scalpel she was using and leaves with Marcus.
Shen cuts his way out of the bindings and writes a note that he slips under the door to the security guard. The guard comes in and Shen tries to overpower him but fails. The guard slams him around a little until Shen gets the remote control for the window covers and opens them, letting the sunlight ash the guard.
Blade tracks down Tucker Moffet, the architect, who is about to enjoy a familiar hooker that Marcus sent him as a reward. The architect offers to tell Blade where the conclave is, but Blade tells him he already knows. Blade knocks the architect over and tells him that he needs a way in. He then cuts out the architect's eyeball and steals his car. Blade gets a call from Shen and picks him up in front of the hotel. After berating Shen for not following procedure, he shows Shen the eyeball.
In Toronto, Chase takes over security and sets up the virus. Marcus and Krista arrive, followed shortly by the purebloods. Chase and Krista get catty, and Krista offers a truce to Chase, but she declines. The purebloods enter the conclave and order Marcus out of the audience chamber to wait for their summons. Meanwhile, Blade and Shen speed toward the conclave. Shen asks what weapons they have, and Blade tells him they have the sword, one UV glaive, and two guns, one of which may not work. Shen needles Blade about wanting to protect Krista, and Blade tells him he's just protecting an asset. Shen asks if anyone ever told Blade he was a cynical son-of-a-bitch, and Blade replies "every goddamn day".
The purebloods begin the conclave and Overlord Rusk, Head of the Delegation presides over the Conclave. He promises the others that they will soon be daywalkers. They summon Marcus to present the Aurora Virus in Charlotte's place. Marcus reveals himself as a traitor, ending with pushing the button to release the poison. When he hits the button, nothing happens. The pureblood's security people kill Marcus' security, and the purebloods seize Marcus and reveal that they knew it was a doublecross. They reveal that Chase did turn on Marcus, and Chase tries to kill Marcus but the purebloods order her to stop. They are about to bleed Marcus when Blade bursts in, throwing a canister of the virus into the air and shooting it, releasing it. The purebloods die. Marcus and Blade begin to fight with swords; Blade uses his custom sword and Marcus uses the sword of Lord Chthon, a sword that represents the power and authority of the Chthon Purebloods. Krista attacks Chase as Blade and Marcus fight each other.
Krista and Chase's fight spills outside the audience chamber, where Krista finally gets the upper hand. Krista drops Chase 12 stories down a staircase. Marcus and Blade continue fighting in the audience chamber, with Blade getting the upper hand, breaking Sword of Chthon with his. Just as Blade is about to stab Marcus in the heart, Krista runs in and interrupts, allowing Marcus to escape. Shen arrives, shooting Krista with a silver bullet. Marcus grabs Krista and they escape through a window. Blade and Shen clean up and leave. The stairwell where Chase fell is shown empty.
Krista and Marcus go to Blade's destroyed warehouse. He tells her Blade will go underground, popping up in a new city. Krista asks how Marcus will survive now that the purebloods know he's a traitor. He tells her that he has Aurora, and if they want to survive they will make him the leader of the House of Chthon. Krista asks Marcus how they found Blade, and Marcus tells her they intercepted a phone call and traced it to Blade. He grabs Krista by the throat and asks how long she's been working for Blade.
