"That Which Is Lost" (「失われたもの」 Ushinawareta mono?) is episode 16 of the Fullmetal Alchemist TV series originally aired on January, 24th 2004.

Before leaving in military custody, Dr. Marcoh dropped a note on the ground for Ed, directing him to look for Marcoh’s notes about the Philosopher's Stone at the National Central Library. Lust wants to destroy the notes before Ed can get to them and forces Dr. Marcoh to reveal their location to her, too. Scar has also found out that the Elric brothers will be going to Central. But before Edward and Alphonse can get to Central, they must return to Risembool for repairs, with Major Alex Louis Armstrong, the Strong Arm Alchemist, serving as their bodyguard.
