"That Summer" is a song released by American country music artist Garth Brooks. It debuted on his fourth studio album The Chase and also appears on The Hits, The Limited Series and Double Live. It reached #1 on the Billboard Country Charts in 1993. The song was written by Pat Alger and Sandy Mahl-Brooks.

The song is about a teenage boy who goes to work for a "lonely widowed woman" out in the middle of nowhere. One night, she comes to him wearing an old dress the boy assumes "she hadn't woren in quite awhile" and also notices a differnce with her additude and the two engage in sexual intercourse. The song ends years after, when everytime the boy passes by a wheat field, he remembers that summer with her.
