[edit] Synopsis
Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
When the Charmed Ones discover that an old man named Nicholas, who has been visiting the Manor once a year, is actually a young Warlock looking to kill them for their powers, they create a spell to go back in time to find out why he is immune to their powers. They travel back to 1975 and see, not only themselves as young magical children, but their mother and Grams alive and well. Soon they discover that their mother Patty was forced to give Nicholas immunity to their powers because otherwise, he would have killed her, Piper, Prue and fetus Phoebe who she was pregnant with. Once they return to the future, a spell is added to the book to destroy Nicholas, which they are quick to use.

[edit] Enemies
- Nicholas: A low level warlock who kidnapped the Charmed Ones' mother when she was pregnant with Phoebe. He was able to convince her to give him immunity from the Charmed One's powers in exchange for Patty's and her daughter's lives. Soon after, Patty bound her daughters' powers as a temporary way of stalling time before he could steal their powers. Discovering this, Nicholas magically aged himself and posed as a would-be suitor for Grams. Each year he would appear on the same day with a vase of flowers for her at exactly twelve noon. In the middle of the clock's gong, he would drop the flowers to see if one of the Charmed Ones would freeze it before the vase broke. When this finally happened, he realized that the Charmed Ones had their powers and tried to take them. He was eventually killed via a spell from the Book of Shadows.
[edit] Spells
- To Undo A Bond: The bond which was not to be done, give us the power to see it undone, and turn back time to whence it was begun.
- To Return To One's Own Time: Several herbs are needed for this spell as well as a powerful magical being to speak the spell. A time for everything and to everything its place. Return what has been moved through time and space.
- Nicholas Must Die Spell: Must possess a pouch of lavendar, mimosa and thistle. Throw it's contents in a container and say the words: Lavendar, mimosa, holy thistle. Cleanse this evil from our midst. Scatter his cells throughout time. Let this Nick no more exist.

[edit] Trivia
- The episode title is a play on words to the television series That '70s Show.
- In the episode Thank You For Not Morphing the Charmed Ones' father gives them a video tape of the entire family present at Christmas, including Phoebe. This episode shows that he actually left the family before Phoebe was born. [Note: their father could have returned when he found out Patty was pregnant with Phoebe because in future episodes, it is shown that he was there after Patty died.]
- It has been said that each generation of witches in the Warren line will get stonger and stronger until the sisters are born. This means that until the birth of Prue, Patty was the most powerful witch in current exsistence, and before her, Grams was. Although we see Grams do a lot more magic in the show than Patty does, it is only fitting that Patty had more power than her in order to bear the Charmed Ones.
- In the episode Thank You For Not Morphing there is a ring that highly resembles that of Nicholas's ring.
- In the final episode of the show, Forever Charmed, Piper travels back to this same year, mere weeks before the timing of this episode, meaning that her self from 1998 just missed herself of 2006. In Forever Charmed Victor and Patty are still a happily married couple, meaning that within the few weeks between both Pipers arrivals they will seperate, and later work things out in time for Christmas, as seen in Thank You For Not Morphing. However by then Patty will be pregnant with Paige. This means that Patty and Sam most likely become an item due to the seperation, and Victor will blame Sam for preventing the pair working out their issues. Since Patty was made to forget the events of Forever Charmed this is why she is again unaware of being pregnant in this episode, and also unaware of having met future Piper only a couple of weeks before meeting her in this episode.
- In the episode, little Piper has green eyes, but adult Piper has hazel ones.
- The warlock Nicholas appears again in the episode Witch Trial, but is portrayed by a different actor.
- This is the first time the Charmed Ones travelled through time.
- The episode reveals the girls had powers from the womb just as Wyatt did. We know this as Patty experiences a premonition from an unborn Phoebe. It is not revealed if she experienced Prue or Paige's powers whilst Pregnant with them. And since she and Piper share the same power, she would have known no difference even had she experienced Piper's power.
- Never Can Say Goodbye by Gloria Gaynor plays over the opening sequence to illuminate the fact that the episode is set in the 70s.
- Little Prue channels her telekinesis through her eyes as well as her hands, going to support the theory that by having their powers bound, the girls forgot how to control them, with prue only remembering how to channel her power through her hands again in Out of Sight.
- The girls knew Andy when they were children.
- The episode reveals that Grams had the power of telekinesis, just like Prue.
- 1975 was the first time the power of three was used (little Prue, Piper, and with an unborn Phoebe in Patty.)
- This is the second time the Halliwells got arrested. The first was in Wicca Envy.
- It is stated that witches aren't supposed to use their powers in public, but Little Piper freezes the ball in mid-air in a public park.
- Ted King does not appear in this episode. However, Andy does appear as a child.
