[edit] Version 1
Version one of Thank You was released on September 29, 2003. The first single from the album was "Bout" featuring Rah Digga, which was released in June 2003 and peaked at #37 on the UK Singles Chart. The second single from the album was released in September 2003 and was called "Superstar", a much poppier effort, which entered the UK Singles Chart at #8, but climbed as high as #3 in October 2003. The single was later officially certified Silver in early 2004 and was her second UK top 10 hit [2]. However, when this first version of the album was released, it only managed to peak as high as #65 on the UK Albums Chart. The album cover's font had a paint-brush affect but the font design was later changed for version two along with a slight change to the colour scheme of the cover photo.
[edit] Version 2
After the success of the "Superstar" single, Thank You was re-released in March 2004 with a slight alteration to the artwork, two brand new tracks and a re-ordered track listing. The album was re-issued after the success of the title track of the album, which appeared in a slightly new version here, with a proper outro instead of a faded one. The album's two new tracks later became the fourth and fifth singles from the album, these tracks were "See It In a Boy's Eyes", co-written with Chris Martin of Coldplay and "DJ". This version of the album was a huge success, creating a new peak of #4 in the UK Albums Chart. The album was certified Gold by the BPI on March 5, 2004, only 5 days after the album's first re-issue. [3]
[edit] Version 3
Version three of Thank You had only a change to the front and back covers. The shot used for the front cover was a close-up picture of the "See It In a Boy's Eyes" single cover, the back cover was the entire "See It In a Boy's Eyes" cover in full. The track listing had no alterations, despite the fact that the final single of the album was a double A-side of album track "DJ" and a non-album cover of Sam Brown's "Stop", which was used as the theme for Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason.
