Thalía is the ninth album by Mexican singer Thalía, released through EMI Latin in 2002 (see 2002 in music). First single was the Latin pop track "Tú y Yo" that later became a hit in Thalia's music career peaking the #1 spot at Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks. While the album went straight to number one -at the same time- spending five consecutive weeks at Billboard's Top Latin Album Chart and Top Latin Pop Albums. It was certified Platinum by the RIAA (for sales over 200,000),[1] only in the U.S and it was also nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Pop Female Vocal Album in 2003.[citation needed]
