Tha Blue Herb is a hip-hop band based in Sapporo, Japan. They formed in 1997 and have three members: BOSS the MC aka. Ill Bostino (MC), O.N.O. (producer) and DJ Dye (live DJ). Within a few years, they became one of the most respected groups in Japan's underground hip-hop scene. Beseide releasing several albums and singles as Tha Blue Herb, O.N.O. also released solo works, while Ill Bostino participated in Herbest Moon (with producer Wachall) and Japanese Synchro System (with ambient producer Calm) and also worked with DJ Krush and dub-pioneers Audio Active amongst others. They also run a label called Tha Blue Herb Recorings.
