Maybe it would be better if they were compacted to not have the names twice, for example instead of

[edit] Separate articles for Current/Old Seasons
Seeing that Season 2 of Thank God You're Here starts on Weds, 6th Sept - I suggest having separate articles for current and previous seasons. --Ninevah 01:06, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- The article isn't 32kb yet (the size at which the "warning, this article should be reduced in size/split into articles" warning comes up when editing. I suggest it should be split only when it becomes unmanagable in its current form. -- Chuq 01:43, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- If then I'd say a little more creative editing in cutting down the words would be sufficient in keeping it all on the one article page. RandomEcho 01:57, 5 September 2006 (UTC).
Eventually it's going to come ot the point where it will have to be split up. Chances are it will be sometime during this season. I like the idea of it being seperated when it reaches 32KB. Possibly include a template for the show when it does occur. Normy132 09:00, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
I have just edited the article with extra sub-headings so it is in the form of ==Season== ===Season Information=== ====Episode #====. When it reaches warning stage, then we should have a Main article (this one) and separate articles for the different seasons of TGYH. Lakeyboy 09:04, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'm in favour of splitting it now. Have one article for general encyclopaedic information about the show, and one article for the episode lists/mini-summaries. Sulvo 11:37, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- I agree fully, the article looks like a disgusting mess at the moment, it is too long physically and there is information that isn't so much about TGHY, but instead about the episodes of TGYH. Especially now that it is become a syndicated show with versions being produced in 11 countries (to date), the main article should be about origins, outline, history and direction. If you look at most articles about tv shows, they have a separate article for episode lists. BradK 12:56, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- I say go the split soon enough. So at least perhaps in their separate seasons the people who keep changing the stats of Season 1 to include 2 will pause a little. Even though they'll still adjust it for an accumulative appearance/score. RandomEcho 08:06, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

- I recommend having a separate article called Thank God You're Here episode guide as well. Rogerthat Talk 10:26, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

- Done. Feel free to further tidy if required. --Ninevah 23:40, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

- I gave it a proper name to match Wikipedia guidelines: List of Thank God You're Here episodes --Wafulz 02:29, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
- Was the article over 32kb though? ~ EmeZxX ` 12:32, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
- Twas getting to be more about the episodes themselves than for the whole general info about the show itself. Now that it's been shopped around the world, the break is more logical as you have a section with just the eps and one with just the guts.RandomEcho 14:10, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Splitting article
I think it would be a good idea to split this article into country-specific versions like they've done for Deal or No Deal (especially with the US version coming soon). This page would talk about the format and international versions (see table below for example).
Flag | Country | Name | Host | Channel | Language | Premiere | Website |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Australia | Thank God You're Here | Shane Bourne | Network Ten | English | 5 April 2006 | Link | |
Denmark | Gu' ske lov du kom | TV3 | Danish | 30 September 2006 | Link | ||
Germany | Gott sei Dank ... dass Sie hier sind! | Knacki Deuser | ProSieben | German | 30 November 2006 | Link | |
Netherlands | Gelukkig Je Bent Er | RTL 4 | Dutch | September 2006 | Link | ||
Russia | Slava Bogu, Ty Prishel | Michael Schatz | STS | Russian | 24 September 2006 | Link | |
United States | Thank God You're Here | NBC | English | 2007 |
Information related to the Australian version (hosts, episodes, broadcast history, etc) could be shifted to Thank God You're Here (Australia) or something similar. --Tntnnbltn 02:37, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- I think you need to find more information on the other versions before you split it yet. --Ninevah 02:54, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
-
- Why would we need more information. All of the information about the Danish/Dutch/German/Russian versions that is already in the article is preserved in the table. We can leave the links to those programs as redlinks. There's enough information for an Australian version, as that's what this article is primarily about. And when the US version is broadcast, it'll be easier for the article on the US version to start of separate than having to split them later. --Tntnnbltn 07:50, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] No season 3
While it is coming back on, it won't be the third season - they're re-runs. So if the only 'proof' of a third season is the official website, then there is no actual proof... if that makes sense. I love you Oh, and I got this information by watching the ad breaks... sometimes they provide more information than the internet. - I believe S3 comes back in june. But that's not what this page is for --bdude Talk 09:30, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- It is stated on the official website that season three will air this year and I have signed up for the Channel Ten e-mail sendout to say when Season 3 will begin airing. As soon as I receive that e-mail, I will post the series return date up here. --Lakeyboy 10:12, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
