State Highway 47, or SH 47, runs from SH 21 in Bryan, Texas at Texas A&M University-Riverside southeastward approximately 7.1 miles to FM 60 near Easterwood Airport and Texas A&M University Research Park. This highway was designated in 1987.

[edit] Previous routes

SH 47 was originally planned along a previous section of SH 1A from Daingerfield through Atlanta to Texarkana. In 1935, this classification was cancelled when the portion from Lindale to Texarkana was transferred to U.S. Route 59 and the stretch from Daingerfield to Lindale transferred to SH 11.
