Electric interurban railway centered in Dallas, Texas with lines to Sherman and Denison, Corsicana and Waco. The system survived the WWII years, but ceased operation on December 31, 1948. Two books have been published on this system; the second, more complete one is "Texas Electric Railway" by Johnnie J. Myers (author) and Leroy O. King Jr. (editor) and published by the Central Electric Railfans' Association in 1982; Lib. of Cong. Cat. Card #82-71474. The other one is "Texas Electric Album" by Rod Varney, published as Interurbans Special #62 by the estate of Ira L. Swett dba "Interurbans"; ISBN 0-916374-01-7.
