Tex McCrary. birthname: John Reagan McCrary. (October 13, 1910. Calvert, Texas - (July 29, 2003. New York City, New York) was a journalist and public relations specialist who invented the talk-show genre for both television and radio.

He was also awarded the medal of honor for his services in World War II.
