Tex-Edit Plus is an extensively scriptable, styled text editor for Mac OS X from Trans-Tex Software. It is considered highly useful for cleaning up cross-platform text and styles.[1]
Tex-Edit Plus supports AppleScript, grep expressions, and Apple's Automator. It also supports Apple's Text-to-speech capabilities, and can save documents as audio files.
As with some other Mac editors, Tex-Edit Plus can read and save files in various formats, including Unicode, ASCII and RTF.
Tex-Edit Plus is based on the WASTE text engine.
