I'm an academic in his early 40's. I have also worked (and work) as a commercial writer, mainly on technical journals. Believe Wikipedia to be of importance because Google draws attention to it (it effectively amplifies what might otherwise be less than significant). So if I come across an entry to which I can contribute, I will try and do so, but I have neither the skill nor the time to do this as well as many others who understand the process more deeply.
