Talk:Tesco Ireland

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Over the next few years the Quinnsworth and Crazy Prices chains were rebranded as "Tesco Ireland", using a white-on-blue variation of the familiar Tesco logo.

Actually, the Tesco supermarket at the Crescent Shopping Centre was originally rebranded from Quinnsworth to simply "Tesco". It was only after the initial bad response Tesco got from its completely changing supermarkets that people were used to (the criticism of them being British came into it) that they rebranded *again* as Tesco Ireland.

Incidentally, the supermarket in question was rebranded to being just Tesco again last year.

Tescos aren't bad, their bakery selection and such is poor compared to Dunnes, but they at least have non-dodgy meat and refridgerated produce (don't buy Dunnes chicken portions - not good... they don't even have non-Dunnes alternatives any more).
