[edit] About the project
EnRich! is a WikiProject, first initiated by Mailer Diablo as a personal projectspace, to help bring excellent photography of fellow individual Wikipedians to their full potential, which may otherwise fall into obscurity, disuse, or even deleted.
From time to time, newcomers and some editors upload many photos onto Wikipedia at once under free licenses. Going by the usual policy, Wikipedia is not a mirror or a repository of links, images, or media files, which means that such photos risk being marked en-masse for deletion. However, there are cases where subject of the photographs are encyclopedic and notable, but for some reason are unable to accomodate in articlespace (e.g. stubs), or the article in question not created yet. On the belief that more free, encyclopedic photos/media is better than less or none, EnRich! aims to improve the encyclopedia by trying to address these problems.

The project's tasks include, but are not limited to the following :
- Transwiki photographs to Commons
- Inclusion of photographs in Wikipedia articles, in particular other languages
- Sorting & classification/organisation of photographs in Commons articles.
- Nomination of best photographs for featured picture candidates in English Wikipedia & Commons.

We try our best in obtaining consent to proceed with the project tasks, however in cases where the beneficiaries are uncontactable the tasks are carried in good faith that the their intention is to have their photo collection put into encyclopedic use.
