Theresa 'Terri' MacGregor is a former and short-lived character on the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation. She was protrayed by Christina Schmidt.

[edit] Terri and Friends
Terri was often seen with her regular group of friends, consisting of Paige Michalchuk, Hazel, and Ashley Kerwin. They were noted for their popularity and 'dominance' of the school.
[edit] Getting Drunk
Downhearted because of self-esteem issues with her weight, when Spinner Gavin Mason shows interest in her Terri, Paige advises Terri on the benefits of alcohol. Indulging in too much, Terri makes a fool of herself and finds out the next day that Spinner has lost interest because of her behavior the previous night.
[edit] Ashley and Ectasy
After Ashley's one-night stint with ecstasy, Terri, unlike the rest of the friends, stayed behind to help Ashley clean up both her house and her actions.

[edit] Terri leaves Ash
After Ash seems to be getting popular again, Terri is happy to be by her side. Then as Ashley starts screwing up again and everyone finds out that Ash accepted a date with Sean, Ashley goes back to the unpopular section and this time Terri choses to stick with Paige and not Ash.

Terri starts to get more money and Paige and Hazel think she's shoplifting. It turns out Terri is a plus size model but becomes ashamed when the posters start spreading across town. However after dissing the ice cream boy, Terri gets the confidence she needs to be proud of who she is.

Terri becomes thrilled after getting her first real boyfriend. He seems so perfect and right for her. However things take a turn when he begins to be too controlling and starts being possessive over Terri. Terri assures that its nothing but then he starts hitting her. Hazel notices and tells her to be careful. Finally Terri can't take it anymore and dumps him with Jimmy assuring that he will protect her from Rick if he ever tries anything again.

Terri once again falls into Rick's trap and they begin seeing each other again. However things get too out of hand when Rick gets infuriated with Paige. Terri follows him into the woods and he gets so mad at Paige that he grabs Terri and pushes her and she hits her head on a rock. She slips into a coma and soon everyone wonders what will happen to Rick. Paige and Spinner feel guilty but in the end Terri's dad assures them they are great friends.
[edit] Aftermath
In "I Want Candy" (Episode 3.20) Ashley, Paige and Spinner go visit the recently injured Terri, who had slipped into a coma at the hands of her ex-boyfriend Rick. This is the last time the character of Terri is seen on the show as her father decided to enroll her in a Private School to get away from Rick.

In the season 4 episode "Mercy Street" when Paige hears that Rick is coming back to Degrassi, she says that Terri transferred to a private school.
