TerrainView-Lite is a free 3D-Viewer based on the Virtual Reality Application TerrainView. It enables the user to view all data TerrainView provides. It is restricted to viewing options only. Editing or any other kind of manipulation is not supported. It runs on PC (Win2000, XP) and belongs to the TerrainView Software Suite.

TerrainView-Lite supports all formats which have been created with TerrainView. Only viewing and exploring 3D content is allowed. 3D measurement, creating flight paths or points of interest, export of movies is not supported. A background watermark ought to avoid illegal copy of content.

The main focus lies on data transfer and presentation of projects which were built with TerrainView. An easy navigation and a simple workflow enable the user a quick and efficient way of watching 3D environments.

The ViewTec, founded in 1998, is a spin-off company emerging from the University of Zurich, Department of Computer Science, Switzerland. The qualifications of the ViewTec AG are:
