Teresa Edwina Palmer (born February 26, 1986) is an Australian actress born in Adelaide, South Australia.[1]

Palmer made her film debut as Melody in 2:37, for which she was nominated for Best Actress by the Australian Film Institute,before appearing in the The Grudge 2 as an American schoolgirl named Vanessa; she also has a role in the upcoming movie December Boys, alongside Daniel Radcliffe. She will soon begin production on the comedy Kids in America, playing Topher Grace's love interest.[2]
At the age of 20, Palmer was originally cast in the female lead of the film Jumper opposite a young English actor named Tom Sturridge when the roles were originally conceived as being high school age. When the studio ultimately decided to change the age of the leads to mid-20's to attract an older audience, they recast the lead roles with Hayden Christensen who is 26 and Rachel Bilson who is also in her mid-20's.

Palmer remains based in her home city of Adelaide, where she lives with her current boyfriend, retired Port Adelaide Football Club player Stuart Dew.[3]
