[edit] Meaning

The etymology of the name is uncertain; it was first used in Spain and Portugal. By tradition, it was the name of the wife of St. Paulinus of Nola, who was said to be from the Greek island of Thera, but there is no independent verification for this as the etymology of the name.[1]
