The music for this song was composed by the Late Madan Mohan and recreated by his own son Sanjeev Kohli and is sung by Roop Kumar Rathod and Lata Mangeshkar. The lyrics were given by Javed Akhtar.

Also the song contain scenes when Veer and Zaara change from old to young and again old. The last song is also Tere Liye but with a change lyrics and same music.
