[edit] I Received Your Message

Dear Tennislover,

I received your message on my talk page. I took the time to read your User and Pages pages, as I assume you read mine. Thank you for finding me.

[edit] Welcome Message

I see that you have already begun the practice of welcomming new Wikipedians. However, it is more appropriate to use the welcome template found here than to use a personally made greeting unless of course the personally made greeting incorporates the template in some form. Just a helpful hint :P. J.Steinbock 04:17, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism

I noticed the comment on your user page that you wanted to fight vandalism. Consider joining the Counter Vandalism Unit. This will help you become an administrator along with faithful, diverse edits and other things. Do not hesistate to ask any questions. J.Steinbock 04:20, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

I didn't nessesarly mean "fight" vandalism, but maybe I will join. Thanks!Tennislover 21:50, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Userbox Migration

I fixed the problem for you. Basically, the userbox was moved to another location. A detailed explanation of why it might have been moved is located at the Userbox Migration. If you need any more help or have anymore questions, do not hesitate to ask. J.Steinbock 22:27, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Discussion Page Purging

I have noticed that you occassionally purge, or clear your user talk page, of all discussions left on it. Instead, create an archive system after about every ten comments. I mention this because some people might delete a comment on their user page, such as a vandalism warning, from their user page, and when they run to be an administrator, that can change the vote. I know this is not what you are doing, but it is still a good practice. If you need any help setting this up, I can show you, or if you do not like the idea, you do not have to accept it. Once again, I am happy to help you with anything :). J.Steinbock 22:41, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I would like some help setting up an archive system. Can you please show me how. Thanks. Tennislover 22:43, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
Basically, you create it by making a page titled User:Tennislover/Archives/One. That is just an example. It could just be User:Tennislover/Archives or whatever you wish to call it. Once you make that, and this is the simplest way I can explain this, go to the "edit this page" tab on your discussion page (this page), copy the text, and paste it into the link you just made. Save the changes you made and add a link to your achive system on your discussion page. I can do this for you if you wish. J.Steinbock 22:00, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Yes, that would be very helpful. Thank you.Tennislover 22:05, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
