Tensai Okamura

Tensai Okamura (岡村 天斎 Okamura Tensai?, birth name: Yutaka Okamura 岡村 豊 Okamura Yutaka) is a Japanese anime director and animator, born on December 13, 1961, in Fukushima Prefecture and who grew up in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. He is a graduate of Waseda University's department of science and engineering. In 1991, he changed his first name to Tensai.
Upon graduating from university, Okamura joined the studio Madhouse as an animator. He made his debut in 1989 with the series, Yawara!, and made his directorial debut in 1995 with Memories. He later left Madhouse, and went on to work and participate freely on several other projects.
