Tenpin Bowling Proprietors Association

The Tenpin Bowling Proprietors Association (TBPA) is the Trade Association for the Ten-pin bowling industry in Great Britain. Formed in 1961, along with the British Tenpin Bowling Association, and in response to the rapid development of this sector, the TBPA was formed as an umbrella organisation. It has grown to represent the interests of many companies and independent operators in tenpin bowling and today it has well over 35 Members (from leading commercial operators to family run businesses) who are responsible for approximately 98 bowling centres with some 2,045 bowling lanes. The equipment suppliers are also Members.

The TBPA works closely with local and national Government and independent organisations.

The Association offers advice and information to help its Members comply with law and regulations.

The TBPA encourages high standards of business practice through a voluntary Code of Practice. See “TBPA’s Code of Practice”.

What Is The TBPA’s Programme?

The TBPA operates publicly and privately to raise the profile of tenpin bowling. It is the TBPA’s key role to keep raising the profile of this vital, fast growing industry – an objective which is shared by numerous other Associations connected to the tenpin bowling industry.
