The ageless Martina Navratilova had her hopes of an olympic gold medal, just about the only title she has never won, kept alive when along with her partner Lisa Raymond they were given a walk-over as their opponenets, the French pair, Amélie Mauresmo and Mary Pierce withdrew to concentrate on the singles.
