TengizChevroil

TengizChevroil is a joint venture between ChevronTexaco (which recently changed the name back to Chevron), ExxonMobil, Lukarco and KazMunayGas. The project is developing the Tengiz and Korolev oil fields located in the northeastern reaches of the Caspian Sea. The joint venture was formed in 1993. Tengiz is one of the world's largest oil fields and contains between 6 billion and 9 billion barrels (1 km³ and 1.4 km³) of recoverable oil.
