The Tennessee statutes call them state highways, and they are commonly known as such, at least in East Tennessee. Gazpacho 04:16, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Apparently there's some subtlety, since DOT calls them state routes. Maybe the pavement is the highway and the set of alignments is the route. Move request withdrawn. Gazpacho 04:41, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
