[edit] I'm pretty sure this page is wrong

I cut my teeth on an ASR33, and it had next to no intelligence at all. I believe the 10 bells were generated by interspersing 10 Ctrl-G characters in a line of X's (to provide delay time to separate the rings.

But I can't prove it, and I won't change the page until I can.

Does anyone else have an authoritative reference?
