[edit] Template:Katie Melua
Template:Katie Melua (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)
While this template model may be pertinent for groups like the beatles ({{The Beatles}}) or Led Zeppelin ({{LedZeppelin}}), I doubt this one is warranted in any way. Circeus 03:12, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
- Delete - Just a waste of space. Chairman S. Talk 04:39, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
- Keep, Melua was the top selling female artists in the UK two years in a row and some of her songs have entered the British vocabulary. She may not be as famous outside Europe but this doesn't mean she shouldn't have a template to easily navigate her releases. I've never heard of Goldfrapp but they have a navigation template, why shouldn't Ms. Melua? Hera1187 06:20, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
- Keep per Hera1187. Philip Stevens 08:41, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
- strong keep, this is a good template for a singer who is very big here in England. 86.142.89.210 09:33, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
- Comment. Melua is one of Britain's top-selling artists, and there are similar templates in existence for acts less notable than her. I'm not sure about whether these templates are in violation of any policy or guideline, but whatever we do for one we should probably do for all of them. Extraordinary Machine 16:06, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
- Delete An artist with two albums and eight singles does not need a template, regardless of how big she is, in England or anywhere else. --62.255.232.20 18:01, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
- Keep notable artist, sufficient number of pages in template. --larsinio (poke)(prod) 15:17, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- Keep. To the best of my knowledge, templates are the correct way to put those navigation-thingies at the bottom of pages, and those navigation-thingies are appropriate in this situation. Mike1024 (t/c) 15:49, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- Keep Navigation boxes for bands, singers and other artists are extremely useful. If the subject of the article is deemed notable, then the template surely is warranted. Nhprman 22:21, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
