Temecula Olive Oil Company

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Temecula Olive Oil Company is a family owned and operated grower and producer of California olive oil. Founders Thomas L. Curry III and wife Nancy moved to Temecula from Los Angeles and, after researching the area, purchase a 26-acre ranch. The couple planted a grape vineyard and olive trees. There are presently 20 varieties of olives growing on the ranch, which should be opened to the public in 2007.

Curry is certified by the International Olive Oil Council as a Master Taster and sits on the Taste Panel of the California Olive Oil Council, a non-profit trade and marketing association for olive and olive oil makers in California. The company has received kudos for practicing sustainable agriculture.

The geographical climate in Temecula, California is ideal for growing olives as well as grapes, as evidenced by the numerous wineries in the region.
