Author: Frank van Mierlo Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion as seen from the sea. Cape Sounion marks the borde between the Aegean sea and the Saronic gulf and is the start of the aproach to the harbor of Athens. Picture is taken from a 50 foot sailing vessel south west of the cape.
