Telewizja Polska Spółka Akcyjna (TVP S.A., "Polish Television") is Poland's public television network broadcasting corporation. About a third of TVP's funding comes from the levying of a television licence, most of the rest comes from broadcasting commercials.

"TVP" started in 1937 (first experimental black & white tv channel). 1939 - "TVP" destroyed by German army. 25th October 1952 - first polish telecast after the Second World War. TVP was as a part of the broadcasting body Polskie Radio i Telewizja (PRT) admitted as a full active member of the European Broadcasting Union in 1992.

TVP broadcasts two general TV channels (TVP 1 and TVP 2), a network of regional channels (TVP 3) and one international channel TVP Polonia. A new cultural channel TVP Kultura has been started on 28th April 2005 and a new sport channel TVP Sport has been launched in September 2006. TVP Kultura. TVP 3, TVP Polonia, TVP Kultura are available free-to-air across Europe, however TVP 1 and TVP 2 are encrypted.
