A number of phrases have entered the English-language lexicon from popular television programs. Some of those phrases are:
- Voted off the island.[1] From the program Survivor.
- Deal or no deal?[2] From the program Deal or No Deal.
- You're the biggest loser.[3] From the program The Biggest Loser.
- Is that your final answer?[4] From the program Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?.
- How you doin'?[5] Catch-phrase of the character Joey Tribbiani from the program Friends.
- You are the weakest link — goodbye![6] Catch-phrase of Anne Robinson, the host of The Weakest Link.
- The terms yada yada yada, master of my domain, Festivus, and shrinkage. From Seinfeld.
- D'oh!. From The Simpsons.
