Tedim

Tedim is a town and a district in Chin State, northern Myanmar. It is also the dialect spoken by the northern settlers of the district with the same name. Pockets of Tedim dialect speakers are also found in the adjoining Manipur and Mizoram states of India. It is estimated that around 350000 people speak this dialect. It is one of the major dialects of the Chin/Zomi/Kuki/Mizo group of people.

Khuasak is an ancient village under Tedim township, northern Chin State in Myanmar. The village of Pu Tong Seal, a Sizang legend who ruled about 9 administered units under his province around AD 1340. Pu Thuam Hang and Pu Pau Suan who were the first Christian converts in 1903 also lived in Khuasak village. Fort White of Burma, during World War II was originally constructed at Thangmual mountain, about three miles from Khuasak, and it was later on moved to Thuklai. A school was opened at Khuasak in 1902, one of the first schools opened in Chin State.
