Ted Stepien is known for being the owner of the National Basketball Association's Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1980s. Stepien purchased the Cavaliers in 1980.

In March of the 1981-82 NBA season, Stepien fired Cavaliers head coach Chuck Daly, and forced the team to look for its fourth head coach of the season.
