Ted Shin was born June 11, 1981 in Los Angeles, CA. Ted Shin started his career in the wealth management industry at the young age of 20 while attending the University of California, Santa Barbara. During his high school years, he lived abroad in Seoul, Korea where he attended and graduated from Seoul Foreign School. He was admitted into Morgan Stanley Dean Witter's intensive broker training program where he met all the performance requirements, graduating into an exclusive circle called the Pacesetter's Club. Upon successful graduation from the program, he focused on helping businesses in California and New York by offering brokerage services to small and middle sized institutions. His other and main focus was helping Korean American businesses in metrocities around the United States. He has been invited as a speaker to lectures at the University of California, Los Angeles and at the University of Southern California. He has used his young age to extend his knowledge to inner city middle and high school students around the Los Angeles and Orange Country area. In 2003, he was presented an award from the Korean Chamber of Commerce for his efforts in introducing financial issues to the community and another award for his community service around Los Angeles by the students of Young Business Leaders.
