Ted Roof is the head football coach at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Prior to his promotion to head coach on December 6, 2003, Roof had been a defensive coordinator at Duke and Georgia Tech, where he had been an All-American linebacker. In 2000, he was nominated for the Broyle's Award, given to the nation's top assistant coach. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant coach at the University of Alabama, from 1987-1988.
