Now into his 19th year at CNBC, Ted David was part of the launch team that put the network on the air in April 1989. Currently, Ted is senior anchor for CNBC Business Radio. He is heard daily, coast to coast during morning and afternoon drive time on scores of CNBC Business Radio affiliates including WCBS-NY, KYW-Philadelphia, KDKA-Pittsburgh, WFTL-Miami/Ft, Lauderdale-West Palm Beach, WLS-Chicago, WTKK-Boston, KFNN-Phoenix and others on the Westwood One Radio Network.

Ted is also a free-lance anchor on Cablevision's News12 Long Island.

Most recently, Ted was co-anchor of CNBC's Morning Call and anchored breaking news from the CNBC Alerts Desk. He has also anchored Street Signs, Market Wrap and The Edge. Ted has anchored news updates at MSNBC and has done weekend anchoring at WNBC-TV, NewsChannel 4 in New York City.

Ted has interviewed CEOs, top leaders in government, commerce and industry. Daily radio duties include continuous reporting on the stock and bond markets, as well as commodities.

Prior to joining CNBC, he was an ABC News correspondent for eight years and specialized in general news, as well as medical and consumer issues. He has 37 years of local and network radio experience.

Ted has won numerous awards, including a National Press Club citation for Best Consumer Journalism; The Ohio State Award for Excellence in Educational, Informational and Public Affairs Broadcasting; and The American Cancer Society’s Gaspar Award.

Ted serves on the Board of Benefactors of the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind. He also does voice over and on-camera public service announcements for the United Spinal Association.

Ted holds bachelor's and master's degrees and has taught on the secondary and college levels. He was licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician in New York State in 1981. He holds a certificate in technical analysis of the futures markets from the New York Institute of Finance. He is also a licensed amateur radio operator with the call sign WB2TED.

Ted and his wife Jane have been married for 32 years and have two grown sons.
