Teberda

Teberda (Russian: Теберда́) is a town in the Republic of Karachay-Cherkessia, Russia, in the Caucasus Mountains. It is located 105 km south of Cherkessk at 43°26′38″N, 41°44′43″E, and at the elevation of about 1,800 m. Population: 7,827 (2002 Census).

It was founded in 1868 as a Karachay settlement, and was originally called Baychoralany-Kyabak. Town status granted in 1971.
