Team Meanies
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Team Meanies is a rescue team in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon for the Game Boy Advance and the Nintendo DS, also appearing in the Pokemon anime episode Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Team Go-Getters Out Of The Gate!. The members of Team Meanies are the main antagonists in the game. The team is made up of the following:
1. Gengar: The leader of the team, Gengar is rude, bullying, dishonest, and selfish. Gengar started Team Meanies in order to get money posing as a rescue team, so he could eventually dominate the world. Gengar does not show any gratefulness to his team mates. It seems as though the main character in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is the human who betrayed gardevoir, but it was really, in fact, Gengar. At one of the post-ending dungeons, Gengar wants to break Ninetales's curse and free Gardevoir. At the end of the game, Gengar tries to drag the main hero to the "dark world", but gets lost and gives up.
2. Medicham: Medicham, the second member of the team, is Gengar's right hand man (or woman). In the game, it is she who is ordered the most to do tasks for the team, such as take other people's mail. Medicham is French and is unkind to others. Medicham is seen with Ekans talking about the Wish Cave and how they will get to the top and make a wish. After she is rescued, she is the most grateful to the main character and goes through a change of attitude, now becoming a more kind pokemon.
3. Ekans: Ekans, the final member of the team, is the one who makes the most remarks. He is aggressive, greedy, and rude. He speaks phonetically, saying "yes" as "yesss", like the snake he is. In the episode, he is ordered to eat all of Team Go-Getters' berries. Ekans is seen with Medicham preparing to go to Wish Cave to make a wish. He wishes for a bigger lower jaw, but later decides to wish for stronger coils. After Medicham is rescued, Ekans goes through a change of attitude and becomes a more grateful, caring pokemon.
