Phil jeopardizes his family's chance to return to the future when he refuses to play pranks on the town mayor.

- This episode has blooper reels at the end, only the second episode of the series to include one.
- This is the second time Ricky Ullman and Orlando Brown work together on Disney Channel. The first was on On Top of Old Oakey in That's So Raven's third season.
- Tim O'Donnell and Douglas Tuber both make cameos in this episode at the unveiling ceremony. They both helped create and still play an active part in writing Phil of the Future.
- When Phil is a statue you can clearly see him moving.
