Here are some tasks you can do:
  • Requests: Need budget information, box office details from Thai release.
The special features on the Singaporean DVD have some production notes. Maybe they can be used as an additional reference?
  • Wikify: Cast list, other Thai names, which means starting articles about them.
  • Verify: Miramax information. Why did they cut the film and then shelve it?
  • Other: Peer review has been sought; goal is good-article status.

[edit] Good Article Nomination

I am thrilled to award this article Good Article status, as a result of its assesment to the Good Article criteria located at WP:GA?. However, I have some advice for improvement:

  • The #Track listing section reads very messily and may benefit from some WP:GNOMEing, such as bolding the title of the track, and perhaps italicising the name of the singer/performer.

Otherwise, congratulations to the lead editors and keep up the good work!

Kind regards,

Thanks! The track listing was also commented on in the peer review, and I agree it doesn't look great. It uses the conventions from WP:ALBUM, but perhaps they don't work too well when mixed with other article formats. I'll try some things to make it look better. — WiseKwai 19:16, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Alternative ending

Anyone know what's the alternative ending? Thanks BlueShirts 09:17, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
Miramax changed it so nobody dies. — WiseKwai 14:46, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Spoilers end here.

I like the miramax ending, the original is too sad. Did miramax film a whole new ending or did they just cut the last scene? BlueShirts 00:09, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

You talk like you've actually seen the Miramax version, which I thought was impossible because it was never released. Have you seen Tears of the Black Tiger?
I'm assuming that Miramax simply edited the film, probably ending it before the main characters die. The move to change the ending was widely criticized as insensitive to the director's original vision, as were Miramax's changes to other Asian films. Still, there are folks, like yourself, who might prefer a happy ending, or, just out of perverse curiosity want to see what Miramax did. — WiseKwai 04:32, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
No I haven't seen the miramax version, but I like a happy ending. BlueShirts 04:38, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
