[edit] One down...

...many more to go.

I have sources available for every statement in this article. Please do not arbitrarily delete any statements without discussion. This article has been painstakingly researched for historical accuracy and accuracy of statement. Respectfully, Evident 01:13, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

Please cite your sources so that we don't have to take your word for it. ;) Looks like a good start to an article, though! You may want to check out the {{Book reference}} template when you add a ==References== section. —HorsePunchKid 01:17, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
Er, I did in most cases. I wasn't sure how many statements to cite references for. I will read the information you linked to, this is only my 2nd Wiki attempt, beyond editing existing articles. Thanks for the info. Respectfully, Evident 01:49, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Notes, Sources and References

Since this is probably going to be a hotly contested page, I ask that any editors please demonstrate sources on the discussion page if edits are made. These sources should demonstrate your edit without inference and should be more current than the source posted.

As an aside regarding historical perspective, new publications from the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society claiming to state facts about their own history can often be shown to be POV or completely false and, therefore, inherently untrustworthy as reference. Quotes from publications from the time period being discussed are fine, but their own published take on their history is terribly distorted. Respectfully, Evident 18:06, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Do bible book names REALLY need to be linked?

This seems a bit excessive. Can we remove them please? joshbuddy 07:41, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

I am going to try and link them directly to the verses mentioned, will that make the links more meaningful? Respectfully --Evident 01:16, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merge

The pages Teaching authority among Jehovah's Witnesses and Faithful and Discreet Slave are virtually identical. Also, one talk page redirects to the other! It looks like both pages have developed independently since May 16 (look at the history pages), when the page was apparently copied. You need to decide which title is preferred. Then try to incorporate all changes made to both versions of the article since the split. Then you will need an administrator to delete one of the pages (leaving a redirect). --Colin MacLaurin 17:59, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
